If Terra Madre, Mother Earth, could speak what would she tell us?  As human population growth continues to expand exponentially, what habitat will be left for the rest of life on earth.  As technology is considered by governments and business to be the most important factor in human life; what will be the end result as mankind harvests and destroys the oxygen producing trees in vast numbers while also eliminating the habitat these trees provide for flora and fauna?

Our children and grandchildren are left holding the mortgage for depleted resources as sewers flow where pristine streams once offered clean drinking water, where housing projects have replaced the most fertile farm lands, and only the weakest of all species are left because the strongest have been hunted as trophies.  It is this group of powerful individuals who must state "enough is enough!"
